ASB: ASSOCIATED STUDENT BODY: I have participated in ASB for the past 4 years. As an incoming freshman I wanted to have a say in what went on at school and give my input so I thought it would be a good idea to join the club. Now as a Senior I look back and realize it was one of the best ideas, this is where I made new friends, learned new social and organizational skills that have helped me stay involved in school. Our club helps organize most projects around school like rallies, blood drives, adopt a star along with many more. Being apart of the leadership class and not only the club has also been very beneficial for me because we get to work on projects in class and not just at lunch or ASB meetings. I believe this club has helped me make school a better place for all the learners. |
FHS: FRENCH HONORS SOCIETY
I decided to take french as an elective my freshman year and joined French Honors my junior year. Unfortunately, our advisor Doumbia left at the end of our junior year but we still continue this club it just means it's a little more difficult but we have managed to keep it. Im happy that I chose this class even with everyone saying it would be difficult, I have made many wonderful friendships in that class. Learning french was something i've always wanted to do even if it meant a little struggle in my other classes but I still managed to keep up. One day I plan to visit Paris and apply all the knowledge Doumbia provided for us. |

LHS CHEER:
I have cheered since I was 6 so getting to cheer in high school was great. I was a bit hesitant when trying out my freshman year but i'm so glad I did. I fell in love with cheerleading at a young age and getting to continue it throughout my 4 years plus enjoying it with my bestfriends made it all that much more memorable. Senior year I was chosen as a Varsity Captain it made me feel like everything I had done for the past 3 years had really paid off. While cheering we did many fundraisers but my favorite of them all was mini cheer camp where we got to coach little girls and they got to perform with us at one of our games. I loved it because the little girls really looked up to us and wanted to be like us. We also go to camp during the summer, my junior year I was chosen as an all american nominee and my senior year as well. Cheer has taught us to have a lot of school pride and that being involved is very beneficial. With this being my last year its a bittersweet feeling because i'm going to miss it but i'm also excited for everything else that is yet to come, I will leave cheer behind but will take all the great memories. |
YOUTH CHEERLEADING COACH:
The funnest activity my Senior has definitely been coaching the Gator cheerleaders. These girl were so amazing and smart no matter how small they were. They made me feel very proud to be their coach. Everytime I saw them perform on the field I felt like I was more into it than them. This gave me the chance to interact with little girls and remember how I was when I would cheer that small. The girls all had different ages which made it difficult at times but they were all willing to cooperate and improve in anything we asked of them. Im very glad I was able to coach this group of girls and made sure that they had an amazing cheer season. |
